Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what information Aquila Digital ("Aquila Digital," "we," "us") collects through aquiladigital.net (the "Site"), how it's used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
The only personal information this Site collects is what you choose to submit through the contact form: your name, email address, business name (optional), the type of project or support you're asking about, budget range (optional), and your message. There are no user accounts, no e-commerce checkout, and no other forms on the Site that collect personal information.
We also automatically receive standard technical data from web hosting infrastructure (like IP address and browser type, via server and hosting logs) that any website receives. This isn't tied to your identity beyond what's inherent to normal web traffic.
Cookies and tracking
As of the date above, this Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, only whatever strictly necessary functional cookies a hosting provider may set to serve the Site correctly. If that changes (for example, if analytics are added later), this policy will be updated first and the change will be reflected in the date at the top.
How we use your information
We use contact form submissions only to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up about a potential project
- Keep basic records of business inquiries and client communication
- Improve how we describe services, based on what people actually ask
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Contact form submissions are delivered by email using Resend, our transactional email provider, and the Site itself is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf to make the Site and contact form work. They don't independently use your information for their own purposes. We don't share your information with any other third party unless required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See "Your rights" below.
Your rights
Regardless of where you're located, you can ask us at any time to: tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email steven.brown@aquiladigital.net and we'll handle it directly and promptly.
If you're a California resident, note that Aquila Digital does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and the request process above covers the same access, correction, and deletion rights that state privacy laws generally provide.
Children's privacy
This Site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this Site, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. In the unlikely event of a breach involving your personal information, we'll notify affected individuals consistent with Ohio's data breach notification law (Ohio Rev. Code § 1349.19), which generally requires notice without unreasonable delay and no later than 45 days after discovery.
Third-party links
This Site may link to third-party sites (like LinkedIn or GitHub). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Check their own policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes, like adding analytics or a new type of data collection, will be reflected here before they take effect.
